As a youngster Philip shot dramas with his 8mm wind-up camera. Following a childhood love of storytelling, he attended the Vancouver Film School. He later honed his lighting skills working on features — where he eventually transitioned to shooting stills. Today Philip is a celebrated photographer working in both stills and motion. His work has been awarded in Lürzer's Archive Top 200 & Communications Arts for his arresting series: American Beauty - The Opulent Pre-Depression Architecture of Detroit which stunningly - and heartbreakingly - captures the city’s urban decline in gritty-gorgeous detail. Clients: Volkswagen, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Jameson Whiskey, Tim Hortons and Lotto 649. View Philip's website here.
